New Horizons Computer Learning Centers of South Florida is recognized by its employees as a great place to work

Plantation, FL — August 4, 2020 –  New Horizons Computer Learning Centers of South Florida, the world’s leading Information Technology educator for corporations and veterans, has been named one of Florida Trend’s Best Companies to Work for in Florida for 2020, landing on the list for Best Small Companies.

“It is a privilege to be recognized as a best place to work by Florida Trend Magazine,” said Krista Wade, General Manager of New Horizons Computer Learning Centers of South Florida. “We hold these awards in the highest regard because they are a direct reflection of our efforts to take care of our employees. Through their dedication and hard work, we are able to achieve our mission to help others succeed through education. This honor is truly rewarding for all the hard work our team puts in to make New Horizons a special place to work.”

Florida Trend magazine teamed up with the Best Companies Group of Harrisburg, Pa. to rank the state's top 100 employers. Collecting data on each company’s policies and practices, Florida Trend divided the firms into three categories based on the number of people employed in Florida. The Top 100 list consists of 29 large companies, 31 midsized companies and 40 small companies.

Each nominated company took part in an anonymous employee survey. The first part of the survey involved a questionnaire about company policies, practices, and demographics. The second part went to a randomly selected group of each firm’s employees, who responded to 72 statements on a five-point agreement scale. The survey included seven demographic questions and two open-ended questions.

The survey questions focused on eight themes: leadership and planning; corporate culture and communications; role satisfaction; work environment; relationship with supervisor; training and development; pay and benefits; and overall engagement.
